Cha-cha and Ninja -new family members…AND.. we’re finally moved in

July 19, 2009 at 1:29 pm (Uncategorized)

aaa kitties

                 CHA-CHA                                     NINJA

We have 2 “mew” members of our NEW household. They are Cha-cha and Ninja. Sister and brother rescue cats. We LOVE them and the sweetness and excitement they bring to our new home. Aren’t they cute???

I am finally moved, mostly unpacked and settling down and starting to do art work again, and I have an art “studio” like never before. (I have always painted in the kitchen, and now I have an actual space to do my creating.)

Would love to hear from some of my friends.

I loved doing this portrait.

Artists at Work Series: “Art imitating life, Life imitating art?”

April 29, 2009 at 1:02 pm (Sargent Original)

patty-sm-finished

This is the first in my new series “Artists at Work”.  Oil on canvas 24 x 30″.

It should prove to be an interesting series. I have 6 artists that are a variety of ages from 15 – 50. They also have an interesting range of lifestyles. They are all in different stages of learning art, as well, but each is very good and all love to communicate thru their art.

I hope to do a show  with their works and my portraits of them in the future.

I am also going to be busy with several commissioned oil portraits, therefore no dates can be set for the show.

Keep an eye open for some new work very soon. Something different…

More pencil portraits: Luke Settle

March 8, 2009 at 2:09 pm (Sargent Original)

aaa-settle-done-luke-small

Here is Luke Settle. When I met him, after I did his pencil portrait, there was something about him I REALLY liked.  I told his mother I wanted to just hug him.  I also told her later that I wanted to steal him away from her…she’s got 4 boys, I only have one.

Pencil portraits are still only $40 (plus tax, shipping and handling). They are my sort of “GIVE AWAY” art.

Order one today :O)

Commissioned portraits: PETS

PETS. They are our loved ones, our kids, our family and sometimes they are the only ones who seem to love us. Funny isn’t it?

I have had clients who would rather their dog be painted than their child.

If you are interested in a portrait of your pet, contact me and I will do either a pencil portrait, or a full beautiful oil painting.
