40 Days of Drawing: Restaurant co-workers-Megan, Raul and Daniel (see below)

I have been drawing for 37 days now.
I’ve been doing all sorts of drawings, and have decided I needed a lot more than 40 days to get what I need from this project. As I drew many skeletal structures, apples, lamps and my own hands and feet, I found I began to gravitate toward people and faces. This is my favorite subject.
At work, (I am a waitress in a nice Beverly Hills Restaurant, for those of you who did not know) in the last few days, I have been wandering around trying to do sketches of my co-workers. I’d love to do the whole crew, one at a time!
It is not an easy task to get someone to hold still in such a fast paced place, but I have done several. Here are 3 of them. Just quick sketches, working on getting a likeness in a short period of time.
That is my update.
Hope you are all well.
Sincerely,
Christine
ps I am having a sale on some of my limited edition prints. 1/2 price for all in stock. Contact me, I would love to get some art moving, as I have not sold anything for almost 40 days
40 Days of Drawing: (day 20) Self portrait….(see below also)

Day 20
Today I have added 2 pictures to my site. Be sure and see the one below this one also.
I just finished this self portrait. Looking so closely at my face reminds me of how old I really am. Though I have never felt much older than 12 years old, I can see my body has gone way past that. (smile)
Next time I draw myself, I will try to not look so serious!
Like my new hair cut?

40 Days of Drawing: (day 19) Wineglass

Day 19.
Well, to tell you the truth, I think I will need more than 40 days to achieve what I set out to achieve, though this wine glass came out pretty well. (By the way, the stem of the glass is really crooked.)
This was my second drawing of the day which I worked on while watching a movie last night. The drawing was more fun than the movie, which is a really good step in progress, as I was not enjoying drawing when I set out on this project. Now I do enjoy sitting down and drawing a simple thing.
Would love to hear from you.
Got anything you’d like me to draw?
Christine
40 Days of Drawing: Sunland Road

This is day 6 on my 40 Days of Drawing project. I went out and actually drew from nature and it was FUN!! I must say, that I don’t always find drawing fun, and so to have a good time doing this was just great. I did 4 drawings, and I figured this was the most interesting from a viewers perspective.
I was up in the hills of Sunland and sat on a dirt patch on the hill and drew some mountains a couple of times, then walked around on the road and drew some views I liked on the road. Just stood there drawing what I saw. I think this was probably the most fun I’ve had doing drawing in a long time.
I came home and actually spiffed this one up a little, and could see how artists who do landscapes can work in the field, then go to the studio and work on it more…never really understood that before.
Thanks for your continued interest.
Christine
