Pencil Portrait: the Joy of Katie

January 16, 2010 at 1:00 am (Uncategorized)

This pencil portrait was commissioned as a gift to Katie’s mom from Katie’s dad. The real gift is a beautiful Oil Portrait of Katie, but this acted as the temporary gift.   It was a fun way to surprise the mom, and yet the mom is fully involved it the process of the painting and all the details she’ll want to be involved with.

Isn’t Katie a doll. Can’t wait to paint her.

Katie in oil should be terrific!!! She looks joyful and energetic! I hope you post the oil when it’s completed – right below the pencil sketch!
